Shane Gilberto Jenek professionally known by his stage name as Courtney Act is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. As of 2018, Courtney Act net worth is estimated to be $2.5 million.
Jenek was born on February 18, 1982 in Brisbane, Queensland but later moved to Sydney when he was 18 years old. He wanted to take the name Ginger Le’Bon as her stage name but later decided to take it as Courtney Act because of its catchy name.
Courtney first came to international recognition after competing on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003. After the show he released single titled “Rub Me Wrong” which peaked at No. 29 on the ARIA Singles chart. In 2013, he announced as one of the drag queen to compete on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. He ended the show as a joint runner-up alongside Adore Delano.
In 2014, Courtney along with William Belli and Alaska Thunderfuck 5000 were the first drag queens to become ad girls for American Apparel. He also has a Wig company called Wigs by Vanity that he founded in 2015.
In-addition to that, he is also very interested in politics. He covered the Presidential election of 2016 attending rallies of both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Jenek even participated in 2017 Women’s March.
Other than that, Courtney has appeared on several television shows like Sleek Geeks, Are You There, Chelsea?, I Will Survive, Candidly Notice, Single AF and many more. Recently, she won the 21st season of Celebrity Big Brother with 49.43% of the public vote.
