Daniel Annie Pope is an Indian film actor who is best known for appearing in Tamil language films. Most recently, it was announced that he would be part of Big Boss Tamil 2 which is sure to elevate his career.
When he was in school, he didn’t get to take part in theater as only the studious kids used to get that opportunity. However, right after he finished his school studies, he was fully committed to learn acting. He later studied a subject called Visual Communications at Loyola College, Chennai where this time, he was very active in the theater activities of his college. At that time, he also started working as an actor for Pariksha group.
He is the winner of the title for Best Mimer in South India in 2008. His charismatic personality and his skills as an actor has landed him several roles over the years. He started with smaller roles in films like Polladhavan, Paiyaa, and Rowthiram. He has also worked as a television program producer in Vasanth TV and later was part of the team of Thanthi TV as a creative program producer. However his biggest success was playing a part in the comedy drama called Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara in 2013.
Daniel’s fascination with theater spans from his days in school as a kid. It is because of the passion and motivation he had to continuously improve his skills that he was able to prepare for attempting to create a Guinness record for longest theatre play for 72 hours without break. He achieved this and set a new record in 2007 mentioning that he had worked two years continuously to make this record a success. This record helped him get his name around the industry and thus immensely improved his portfolio. Till this date, the record is yet to be broken.
