Briatore was born on April 12, 1950 in Verzuolo, Italy. He started his career working as a ski instructor and a restaurant manager. However, his restaurant named “Tribula” was unsuccessful and had to close due to excessive debt.
Flavio’s net worth of $200 million comes from managing two Formula One racing teams. In 1990, he managed the Benetton Formula One racing team, which became Renault F1 in 2002. After that, he became part owner and chairman of Queens Park Rangers Football Club.
On September 16, 2009 Briatore was forced to resign from ING Renault F1 team due to race fixing scandal. After the FIA conducted its investigation, he was banned indefinitely from any events sanctioned by the FIA although this ban was later overturned by French Tribunal de Grande Instance.
