Joey Chestnut is an American competitive eater who has set several records eating several foods in just limited amount of time. Joey is currently ranked No. 1 in the world by Major League Eating. Recently, he set a world record of eating 74 hot dogs beating his own record of 72 which he made last year.

Chestnut made his name in Major League Eating after he won 92nd Annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest beating six time champion Takeru Kobayashi by eating 66 hot dogs and buns in just 12 minutes. In 2013, he won his seven title eating a total of 69 HDB breaking his own previous records of 68.

In 2015, he lost his title to Matt Stonie and then regained after one year later by eating 70 hot dogs. On July 4, 2017 he made a record by eating 72 hot dogs and again the following year to a new world record of 74.
