Christopher Alan Pallies known by his ring name as King Kong Bundy or Big Daddy Bundy was an American wrestler, actor, and stand-up comedian. King Kong Bundy net worth before his death is estimated to be around $1 million.
Born on November 7, 1957, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Pallies went to Washington Township High school where he graduated in 1975.
Trained by Larry Sharpe, Bundy’s debut match in World Class Wrestling Association came on March 7, 1981, under the ring name ‘Chris Canyon’. After a short stint on New Japan Pro Wrestling, Bundy made official debut in WWF on March 16, 1984, defeating Mario Mancino.
Known for his massive height of 6’4” and weighing over 460 pounds, Bundy’s career took a massive boost in the mid-1980s when he faced Andre the Giant in a match known as “the Colossal Jostle”. His feud with Hulk Hogan in late 1985s got him a chance to highlight the main event of Wrestlemania in 1986 in a steel cage match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship.
After that, he was mostly seen in a partnership with Studd. In 1988, he left the WWF and went into semi-retirement, wrestling only a handful of matches. He returned back to WWF in the fall of 1994 but left WWF permanently in late 1995.
As an actor, Bundy has appeared in television commercials and print advertisements for the Vendex Headstart personal computer. He has also appeared on the TV series ‘Married…With Children’ as Peggy Bundy’s brother and also in an episode of the TV series ‘Weird Science’. In 1988, he appeared in a movie ‘Moving’ with Richard Pryor.
On March 4, 2019, Bundy’s longtime friend David Herro announced that he died in New Jersey at the age of 61. There is no cause of death reported until now.
