Rinder was born on May 31, 1978 to Jewish family. He was born and raised in Southgate, London. He attended Queen Elizabeth’s School for Boys and then the National Youth Theatre. However, he later gave up acting and focused more on politics, modern history and art. He graduated with double first class honors from University of Manchester.
After graduating from the University of Manchester, he became a tenant at 2 Hare Court. He focused specializing in cases involving international fraud, money laundering and other forms of financial crime. Since 2010 he has been involved in the investigation and prosecution of alleged bribery, corruption, and fraud in the British Overseas Territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
As a television presenter, he stars as the judge in the reality courtroom series Judge Rinder. In 2016, Rinder competed in the fourteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. He got eliminated in week 11 and ended the competition in fifth place. The same year, he presented a new series, Judge Rinder’s Crime Stories, with reconstructions of real crimes.
In 2015, Rinder released a book called Rinder Rules. He also became a columnist for the Evening Standard in 2017.
Regarding his personal life, he got married to Seth Cummings in 2013. However, they got split five years later in 2018.
