Trippie Redd is an emerging American rapper . His big hit “Love Scars” elevated him to the top of the rap scene and he has followed it off with a series of hit songs and a growing fan base.
His real name is Michael White. He was born on June 18, 1999, in Canton, Ohio. When he was bron, heis father was incarcerated leaving him being raised by a single mother. He also had a brother but was sadly died in 2014 in a horrific car accident. He finished high school with a 4.0 GPA from Canton during which he was also a member of the Bloods Street gang.
As a kid, he was heavily influenced by a personality named Taevion Williams along with the music of aritists like Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. He also had a mentor named Lil Wop, who was a rapper that helped him get his career started. In those early days, he recorded projects like Awakening the Inner Beast, Beast Mode and Rock the World Trippie.
He released his debut mixtape called A Love Letter to You which became a big hit after the success of the single called “Love Scars” that had more than 13 million hits on Soundcloud. This kickstarted his career putting him in a different gear than most of his colleagues. He then collaborated with a rapper named XXXTentacion for their album called 17.
The two emerging rappers put on some great music and helped to uplift both of their careers. Sadly, XXXTentacion was killed in 2018 but Redd has been continously progressing in his career. He is currently signed with Strainge Entertainment.
He has used platforms like Instagram very well to create a strong brand among the younger generation amassing over 2 million followers. White claimed in March 2017 that he was worth $7 million and proceeded to buy his mother a $300,000 home. Recently, he was arrested in Cobb County after assaulting a rapper named FDM Grady with accusations that Rehad insulted Grady’s girlfriend.
