Charlie Dimmock is a British gardener and television personality. She is an gardening expert who ran famous gardening makeover program on BBC called “Ground Force”. As of 2018, Charlie Dimmock net worth is estimated to be $18 million.
Charlie was born on August 10, 1966 in Southampton, Hampshire. Her father Terry Dimmock was a merchant seamen and her mother Sue Dimmock used to ran her own clothes shop. Her mother and her stepfather Rob were both killed in the 2004 tsunami disaster. She went to Wellow Primary School and then The Mountbatten School.
She started her career in television in 1997 when she joined BBC gardening series “Ground Force”. The show was very popular back then where a team of gardeners make over the garden of an individual who has been nominated by a member of their family or friend.
After her breakthrough series, she then went on to present programmes like The Joy of Gardening, Charlie’s Garden Army, Chelsea Flower Show and The Games. She has also appeared on CBS program “The Early Show” and 2006 edition of Celebrity Masterchef.
In-addition to that, she has also published gardening books including Water Garden Workbook and Container Gardening. She also used to write a column in the Mail on Sunday but left since January 2008. In 2016, she became a member of team presenting Garden Rescue.
She is also involved in many charitable events. In 2003, she competed in the Macmillan 4×4 UK Challenge. The program raised over £ 100,000 each year for Macmillan Cancer Support. She is also involved in other charity shows like Dreamflightt.
