Ella Mai is an English singer best known for her hit singles like “Boo’d Up”. Born on November 3, 1994 in London, England, Ella moved to New York at the age of 12 before returning back to England after graduating from high school.
She also competed in the 11th season of The X Factor as a part of trio group “Arize” but they didn’t advance beyond the first stage. After breaking up with the group, she released a four-track solo EP to SoundCloud under title “Trouble”.
Ella released her first EP “Time” and it consist of single like “She Don’t” featuring Ty Dolla Sign. She then released her second EP titled “Change” in November 2016 and then third EP titled “Ready” in February 2017.
However, she gained popularity and fame following a release of music video “Boo’d Up”. The single managed to peak at number #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. She is one of the Emerging Artists to watch in coming years.
